Poodle Health Information
The conditions most prevalent Standard Poodles are Hip Dysplasia, Elbow Dysplasia, Eye Diseases, Cardiac Issues, Thyroid Issues, & Sebaceous Adenines (SA). The OFA Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) testing requirements for the Standard Poodle are Hip Xray for Hip Dysplasia (OFA, OVC or PennHIP), OFA Eye Evaluation, and at least one of the following: OFA Thyroid evaluation from an approved laboratory, OFA SA Evaluation from an approved dermapathologist, Congenital Cardiac Exam, or Advanced Cardiac Exam.
According to the United Poodle Association, the health conditions and diseases that affect poodles of all sizes are the following: Hip Dysplasia, Elbow Dysplasia,Patellar Luxation, Legg-Calve-Perthes (LCP), Eye Diseases (various), Cardiac Clearance, Thyroid, Sebaceous Adenines (SA), Von Willibrands (vWD), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), Neonatal Encephalopathy (NEwS), Progressive Retinal, Atrophy (PRA), & Osteochondrodysplasia (Dwarfism).

All of my dogs will have have genetic and physical health clearances before being used in my breeding program.
